Kering in Petaling Jaya seeks an Assistant Finance Manager (R2R) to lead record-to-report, financial close and controllership activities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review full set of accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and audit schedules for monthly and year-end close with a strong controllership mindset.
  • Perform Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss analysis and lead balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Provide timely, detailed and actionable financial insights to stakeholders to support decision-making and business performance visibility.
  • Lead finance transformation initiatives by identifying opportunities for technology adoption and process optimisation within the R2R cycle.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of SLAs and KPI analyses and monitor performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with internal control, internal/external auditors and tax agents on audit and compliance matters.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and financial modelling to assist management decision-making.
  • Manage and coach a small R2R team, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards of accuracy are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years' relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in people management.
  • Good knowledge of applicable accounting standards and strong controllership principles.
  • Proven experience partnering with commercial stakeholders and delivering decision support.
  • Experience within an MNC environment and working with a hybrid reporting matrix (preferred).

Experience
