Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise end‑to‑end Accounts Payable operations for Mexico, ensuring timely, accurate invoice processing and strict adherence to internal controls.
- Review and validate invoices, vendor documentation, payment proposals and reconciliations to ensure compliance with local fiscal regulations (CFDI, VAT, withholding taxes) and company policies.
- Lead, coach and develop the AP team, fostering accountability, performance management and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Monitor AP KPIs (processing times, accuracy, discrepancies, aging) and design/implement corrective or continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate payment runs and support cash‑flow planning and related treasury activities.
- Oversee vendor management: maintain strong vendor relationships, resolve issues and ensure effective communication.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and maintaining compliance with internal control frameworks.
- Drive automation and process simplification through ERP enhancements, OCR tools and AP platforms (e.g., Esker), and optimise T&E workflows in Concur.
- Support month‑end closings, reconciliations and other accounting tasks related to AP and fiscal procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
- Deep knowledge of Mexican fiscal and tax requirements, including CFDI validation, VAT treatment and vendor tax obligations.
- Proven experience with ERPs and AP automation tools; familiarity with SAP strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and people‑management capabilities with a track record of team development and performance management.
- Advanced English proficiency (oral and written).

Experience
At least 6 years of progressive experience in accounts payable or general accounting, with a minimum of 2 years supervising an AP team. Experience managing AP operations in Mexico, working with ERPs and AP automation (Esker, OCR), administering Concur for T&E, and supporting audits and month‑end processes is required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
