Kering seeks an Accounts Payable (P2P) Accountant — Japanese speaker — in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Apply for a payments role supporting shared-service treasury and AP.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute pre- and post-payment controls for batch payments and release payments in accordance with payment schedules and SLAs.
- Process emergency and manual bank payments, including input to bank portals and adherence to bank cut-off times.
- Perform payment checks in line with Project Alfred exceptions and established treasury controls.
- Respond to invoice, vendor and brand inquiries within defined SLA timelines and escalate complex issues as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline payment processes, participate in testing of new systems and process implementations.
- Assist in maintaining Treasury and Accounts Payable policies, internal control programs and compliance with SSC standards and accounting principles.
- Monitor and report on performance measures and KPIs related to payments processing.
- Provide backup support to peers, undertake ad hoc tasks, and contribute to a positive team environment by training and sharing knowledge.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or professional certification (ACCA, CPA or MIA).
- Minimum 4–5 years' relevant experience in accounts payable, payments or shared services; at least 2 years' hands-on accounting experience preferred.
- Business proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing and speaking); JLPT N2–N3 level preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP for finance/payables processes.
- Proven ability to apply internal controls, meet SLAs and resolve operational issues promptly.

Experience
4–5 years of prior related experience in accounts payable, payments processing or shared services, with at least 2 years in accounting-focused roles.
Education
Degree in Accounting or professional certification (ACCA, CPA or MIA).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, with easy access to Kuala Lumpur.
