Role & Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and related P2P transactions within agreed SLAs, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
  • Manage period, quarter and year-end accounts payable activities and reconciliations.
  • Investigate, escalate and resolve vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries and invoice discrepancies promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance P2P efficiency, compliance and internal controls.
  • Assist implementation and maintenance of AP policies, procedures and Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide backup support to Senior Accountant/Team Lead and coach or train new team members.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate intercompany recharges, payments and treasury-related tasks.

Qualifications

  • Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting/AP experience, or bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting with at least 4 years' experience.
  • Business proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing and speaking) — JLPT N2 to N3 level.
  • Practical experience in Purchase-to-Pay processes and accounts payable operations.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles, expenditure cycle rules and intercompany recharge procedures.
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritise, solve problems and meet SLA-driven KPIs.

Experience

Minimum 4–5 years' hands-on experience in accounts payable / P2P operations, including invoice processing, reconciliations and period-end activities; experience using SAP preferred.

Education

Diploma in a relevant field with 5 years' experience, or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting with 4 years' experience.
