Kering seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant (P2P, Japanese speaker) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. SAP experience and JLPT N2–N3 required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and related transactions within defined SLAs, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
- Escalate and resolve exceptions and vendor/user inquiries promptly; provide first-line troubleshooting and root-cause identification.
- Support period, quarter and year-end AP closing activities and reconciliations.
- Assist in monitoring, managing and improving AP service levels and KPIs; participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
- Support implementation and maintenance of AP policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with SSC standards and accounting principles.
- Provide backup support to Senior Accountant / Team Lead and perform ad hoc tasks as required.
- Maintain constructive cross-functional stakeholder relationships and assist in addressing operational requests.
- Coach and train new team members; contribute to a collaborative team environment and help balance workloads.
Qualifications
- Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' relevant AP experience, or Bachelor's degree (Commerce, Finance, Accounting preferred) with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing and speaking) — JLPT N2 to N3.
- Practical experience with Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes and invoice-to-pay cycles.
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting concepts, expenditure cycle rules, treasury basics and inter-company recharge principles.
- Proven ability to manage priorities, meet SLAs and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and the ability to deliver high-quality stakeholder service.

Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on Accounts Payable / Purchase-to-Pay experience within a shared service centre or corporate finance environment, including invoice processing, reconciliations and stakeholder interaction.
Education
Diploma (with ≥5 years' relevant experience) or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (with ≥4 years' relevant experience).
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, with easy access to Kuala Lumpur.
