Kering is hiring an Accountant (Record-to-Report) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia — join the Finance Shared Service to lead month‑end reporting and transformation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare full set of monthly and year‑end financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and associated audit schedules with a strong controllership mindset and compliance to applicable accounting standards.
- Support year‑end statutory reporting activities including preparation of audit schedules and financial statements, management of audit queries, and coordination for corporate tax and GST submissions.
- Assist the Finance Shared Service Manager in implementing the Group’s internal control framework (COSO) and related policies, controls and documentation.
- Participate in finance transformation and process‑improvement projects to redesign accounting and controlling processes for the Malaysia office.
- Contribute to the SSC objective of becoming fully paperless by redesigning controls, practices and digital workflows.
- Perform ad‑hoc assignments and support cross‑functional requests as required by the SSC and finance leadership.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in accounting.
- Minimum ~5 years of progressive accounting experience; initial 2–3 years in public accounting (Big Four preferred) followed by 1–2 years of accounting or commercial finance experience within an MNC environment with a hybrid reporting matrix.
- Candidates without public accounting background will be considered if they have strong accounting and commercial finance experience.
- Practical experience on major finance transformation projects and financial systems implementations is preferred (see skills).
- Demonstrable knowledge of applicable accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.

Experience
Approximately 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Preferably 2–3 years in a public accounting firm (Big Four) with subsequent experience (1–2 years) in an MNC environment; candidates with substantial in‑house accounting and commercial finance experience but without public accounting background will also be considered. Experience on finance transformation projects is an advantage.
Education
Degree or diploma in accounting.
