Kering seeks an Accountant (R2R) in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia — responsible for month‑end close, statutory reporting and Shared Service Centre transformation.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prepare full set of month‑end and year‑end accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and audit schedules) with rigorous controllership and compliance to applicable accounting standards.
  • Support statutory year‑end reporting, including preparation of audit schedules and financial statements, managing audit queries and coordinating corporate tax and GST submissions.
  • Contribute to the design and rollout of the Group’s internal controls framework (COSO) and support ongoing control monitoring and remediation.
  • Participate in the Shared Service Centre transformation programme to redesign accounting and controlling processes for Malaysia, including initiatives to achieve a paperless operation.
  • Support finance transformation and process‑improvement projects and perform ad‑hoc assignments as required by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in accounting.
  • Approximately 5 years of progressive accounting experience; an initial 2–3 years in a public accounting practice (Big Four preferred) followed by 1–2 years in an MNC or commercial finance environment is ideal.
  • Practical exposure to statutory audits, corporate tax and GST compliance.
  • Experience in financial systems and transformation projects (SAP, Oracle, BlackLine) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable accounting standards and internal controls (COSO).
  • Minimal travel required.

Experience
