Kering — Accountant (P2P, Japanese Speaker) in Petaling Jaya. Manage invoice processing, AP controls and SAP within a global luxury shared‑service environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and related AP transactions within defined SLAs, including period, quarter and year-end activities.
- Investigate, escalate and resolve invoice discrepancies and stakeholder queries in a timely manner.
- Support and execute end-to-end Purchase-to-Payment workflows, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SSC standards.
- Assist in monitoring, managing and improving service levels and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Contribute to documentation and maintenance of Accounts Payable policies and procedures and support new process implementations.
- Respond to vendor and internal stakeholder inquiries and coordinate cross‑functional resolution.
- Provide backup support to the Senior Accountant / Team Lead and coach, train and onboard new team members.
Qualifications
- Diploma with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, or bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience.
- Business proficiency in English and Japanese (reading, writing and speaking); JLPT N2–N3 level preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles, expenditure cycle (purchase orders, invoices, credit/debit notes, payment terms), treasury operations and inter‑company recharge rules.
- Demonstrable experience in Purchase-to-Payment / Accounts Payable processes, ideally within a Shared Service Centre (SSC) environment.
- Proven organisational skills, time management and the ability to assess and resolve operational problems promptly.
- Familiarity with internal controls, service level management and continuous improvement methodologies.

Minimum 4–5 years of progressive accounting experience focused on Purchase-to-Payment and Accounts Payable, preferably gained in a multinational Shared Service Centre or centralised finance team supporting multiple markets.
Education
Diploma (min. 5 years' relevant experience) or Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting (min. 4 years' relevant experience).
