Kering seeks Accountant – Procure-to-Pay in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia to process invoices and manage accounts payable transactions with fluent Japanese language skills.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process invoices and purchase-to-payment transactions within defined Service Level Agreements
- Escalate and resolve vendor, user, and stakeholder issues on a timely basis
- Execute period, quarter, and year-end closing activities and reconciliations
- Assist with troubleshooting, decision-making, and identification of operational risks
- Monitor, manage, and support improvement of service levels and key performance indicators
- Participate in new process implementations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting principles, and SSC standards
- Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to new team members
- Support Senior Accountant and Team Lead as required
- Maintain effective cross-functional relationships and coordinate with internal departments
Qualifications
- Diploma with minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting or finance, or a degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting with minimum 4 years of experience
- Intermediary knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
- Intermediary knowledge of the expenditure cycle and rules (purchase orders, invoices, credit/debit notes, payment terms)
- Intermediary knowledge of treasury function and bank operations
- Understanding of inter-company recharge principles and rules
- Experience performing the Purchase-to-Payment process
- Proficiency in SAP and other financial systems
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems quickly
Skills
Experience
Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in accounting, accounts payable, or related financial operations. Demonstrated experience in procure-to-pay processes, invoice processing, and transaction reconciliation within a transactional or service centre environment is preferred.
Education
Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
