Kenzo is seeking a Store Manager for its Hisense Plaza boutique in Qingdao to lead sales performance, client development, team management, and store operations. The role is full-time and on-site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive store performance in line with the brand’s values and DNA, delivering qualitative client experiences that build loyalty among existing clients.
  • Lead the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and sales results daily; set daily targets during morning meetings; develop action plans to achieve monthly and annual targets while strengthening the team’s selling skills; and motivate the team to meet targets.
  • Provide headquarters with qualitative and forward-looking feedback on products and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain visual merchandising guidelines and presentation standards, model appropriate appearance, and ensure the team represents the brand in line with uniform and grooming guidelines.
  • Act as the store’s brand ambassador, build a network in the market, and stay informed about city competitors, new retail openings, upcoming projects, and local and market economic conditions and their potential impact.
  • Apply the store operations manual; organize and supervise back-of-house activities, including stock and cash; maintain the store to excellent standards of cleanliness, facilities, and upkeep; and prepare and monitor rolling and annual financial inventories.
  • Recruit staff in partnership with Human Resources; onboard new employees, ensure compliance with onboarding procedures, and assess their performance and integration during probation.
  • Build team spirit and a culture of performance and initiative; recognize and reward performance, and manage it through ongoing feedback.
  • Define capability development plans for each team member and follow up during PCR meetings; discuss employee development plans and implementation with Human Resources; identify potential succession plans within the store; and share knowledge to develop the team’s broader interests in fashion trends, competitors, art, and local exhibitions.
  • Develop long-term client relationships through high-quality experiences; improve data collection and accuracy; train and empower the team to build client loyalty and acquire new clients through personalized relationships; identify ways to reactivate dormant clients; and proactively propose events to grow the business and client database.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of products and materials.
  • Good understanding of the brand and a genuine interest in KENZO.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Windows, word processing, and spreadsheets.
  • English is preferred.
