Kenzo seeks a Department Manager (Women's) in Paris — lead sales, team development and clienteling at Galeries Lafayette (CDI, full-time).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Store Manager and drive the commercial performance of the women's department to meet sales and profitability targets.
  • Analyse sales indicators and customer data to define and implement local action plans (merchandising, product assortment, commercial events).
  • Develop and execute clienteling strategies to attract, engage and retain clientele, ensuring an exceptional welcoming and in-store experience throughout the customer journey.
  • Lead, develop and retain talent: recruit, evaluate, coach and create personalised development plans for team members to build a high-performing, autonomous retail team.
  • Run regular team rituals and performance management (morning briefings, one-to-ones, feedback, coaching) to align the team with the Maison’s qualitative and quantitative ambitions.
  • Ensure visual merchandising, store standards, maintenance and housekeeping reflect the brand image and local Store Handbook procedures.
  • Act as a brand ambassador: deeply know the Maison’s heritage, storytelling, product information and competitive landscape; adapt communication to each client in both the local language and English.
  • Maintain internal networks with head office functions (VM, HR, operations) and external partners (personal shoppers, stylists, conciergeries) to enhance store performance.
  • Uphold and propose improvements to store processes and procedures to ensure compliance, efficiency and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar retail management role, preferably within luxury fashion or premium department store environments.
  • Proven track record in clienteling and driving sales performance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-changing retail environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organisational abilities.
  • Willingness to champion inclusion — the role is open to candidates with recognized disability status (RQTH).

Experience

Minimum five years in a comparable retail management position with demonstrable experience in clienteling, team development and achieving sales targets within a luxury or premium retail environment.

Education

Higher education in business, retail management or fashion is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
