Role & Responsibilities

• Guide, inspire and motivate a team of full-time and part-time Makeup Artists through staffing rotation schedules, coaching of sales and artistry skills, and individual sales goal setting.
• Lead by example in exceptional product knowledge and service delivery, fostering a flawless customer experience and building a loyal clientele base to drive sales performance.
• Oversee sales goals and payroll investment to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual financial targets.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan for building and growing the brand business within the Sephora store environment.
• Establish strong, effective relationships with Sephora management and Kendo leadership to drive business results and implement best practices across the team.
• Create and implement a development plan to continually refine the sales, artistry and customer service skills of team members.
• Manage testers and samples inventory in accordance with budgetary constraints.
• Model respect, initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility at all times, representing the Kendo brands in a professional and ethical manner in line with all brand and Sephora guidelines.
• Foster effective, positive and collaborative relationships with team members and store partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of retail supervisory or team lead experience at equivalent level
• Accomplished, high-level makeup artistry background
• Prior experience working in a luxury store environment
• Proven ability to demonstrate strategic thinking with strong business acumen
• Demonstrated experience building and executing clientele strategy
• Leadership capability including conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Experience in forward planning and achievement of financial/sales targets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and commercial awareness

Skills

Experience

Minimum 3 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years at a supervisory level managing a team in a luxury retail environment. Applicants should possess a proven track record of leading makeup artists, driving sales targets and developing talent within a fast-paced beauty retail setting.
