Retail Artist - Fenty Beauty at Harvey Nichols Edinburgh | Full-time role
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to achievement of personal and counter sales targets through demonstrated makeup artistry and selling excellence
- Model respect, initiative, and flexibility at all times whilst representing the brand professionally and ethically in accordance with Kendo and Harvey Nichols guidelines
- Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships with team members and store partners to support collective objectives
- Develop a loyal clientele base through exceptional makeup application skills, expert product knowledge, and consultative selling techniques
- Demonstrate fluent, in-depth knowledge of makeup products and advise customers on optimal selections based on individual needs, skin type, and tone
- Attend mandatory brand training and ongoing professional development sessions to remain current with trends, products, and brand offerings
- Maintain consistent housekeeping standards and actively contribute to visual merchandising and counter presentation excellence
- Uphold exemplary personal grooming and presentation standards that reflect brand values and reinforce premium positioning
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of retail experience with a proven track record in prestige beauty selling
- Previous employment in a department store environment with a luxury or artistry-focused brand is essential
- Accomplished background in makeup artistry at a professional or advanced amateur level
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining a personal clientele portfolio
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to listen actively and empathetically
- Strong interpersonal skills and natural rapport-building ability
- Excellent organisational and time management capabilities
Skills
Experience
At least one year of retail experience in a prestige beauty or department store environment, with a demonstrated track record of sales success and clientele building. Prior professional makeup artistry experience is highly valued.
Education
No formal educational qualifications specified; professional or advanced-level makeup artistry training and certification is advantageous.
