KENDO seeks an Area Manager (South) in London to lead retail sales for Fenty Beauty and KENDO brands; permanent, full-time role involving field leadership and coaching.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance across the assigned territory by building strong relationships with store and counter leadership and implementing growth-focused business plans.
- Lead by example in-store, role-modelling best-in-class selling behaviours, client service and commercial decision-making to elevate conversion and average transaction value.
- Deliver sales education and service coaching—including onboarding coordination with the Education department—to improve retail capability and daily execution.
- Plan and support retail events, product launches and promotions in alignment with the marketing calendar to generate traffic and brand awareness.
- Maintain and enforce merchandising and visual presentation standards; identify and escalate stock or VM issues promptly.
- Manage area-level operational requirements: Time & Attendance compliance, commission and payroll submissions, and adherence to expense guidelines.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with retail partners and store management through regular communication, feedback loops and performance reviews.
- Provide regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on area performance trends, commercial results and recommended actions.
- Coach and develop store teams through focused 1:1s, in-store visits and performance development conversations, and lead the annual development process with retail teams.
- Travel regularly (up to 50% of time; minimum three days per week in the field) to support door-by-door engagement and execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years in a customer-facing retail role, with at least 2 years managing or supervising a retail team.
- Proven ability to analyse retail results, interpret KPIs and translate insight into actionable business plans.
- Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and events.
- High flexibility and agility to operate in a fast-paced, changeable retail environment.
- Self-motivated, results-driven mindset with proven people management and coaching experience.
- Professional, polished personal presentation that reflects luxury brand standards.

Experience
Minimum of three years in customer-facing retail roles, including at least two years of direct people management. Demonstrable track record of delivering territory sales growth, managing counter relationships and executing door-by-door commercial plans. Willingness to travel up to 50% across the UK.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
