Kate Spade in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Temporary Sales Associate (part-time) at Williamsburg Premium Outlets to deliver styling-led customer experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and establish rapport; demonstrate authoritative product knowledge across categories.
- Engage customers through active listening and consultative questioning to understand style and lifestyle needs.
- Provide personalised styling advice, construct complete looks, and suggest add-ons to increase basket size.
- Use creative merchandising on the sales floor to showcase multiple ways to wear products and inspire exploration.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and execute a seamless checkout using the POS system.
- Maintain operational excellence: organise stockroom, process inventory, assist with replenishment and visual standards.
- Drive sales through storytelling and clienteling; encourage repeat visits and reinforce customer choices.
- Give and receive constructive feedback; collaborate with the store team to meet daily and seasonal targets.
- Perform physical tasks required for retail operations, including regular lifting up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and maneuvering the sales floor and stockroom.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail seasons and public holidays as required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience working in a retail environment; experience in fashion, accessories or luxury retail preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques and digital clienteling.
- Proficiency in English (or local market language) sufficient for customer interaction and transactions.
- Capability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, bending, climbing, standing for extended periods).

Experience
Prior retail experience is required. Experience in fashion, accessories, outlet or luxury retail environments and hands-on styling or client-facing roles is preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
