Kate Spade New York in Ontario, CA is hiring a Part-time Temporary Sales Associate (Stylist) to deliver styling, sales and customer service at Ontario Mills.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers with warmth and confidence, build rapport and provide consultative styling tailored to individual aesthetic and lifestyle.
  • Deliver personalized outfit and accessory recommendations; assemble complete looks and suggest add‑ons to increase basket size.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge across categories and articulate brand story and craftsmanship to customers.
  • Execute POS transactions accurately and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
  • Maintain visual standards and operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including inventory replenishment and organization.
  • Leverage social media awareness and omni‑channel/virtual selling techniques to engage customers and drive follow‑up.
  • Meet sales targets through effective storytelling and customer relationship management; reinforce repeat visitation.
  • Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and holidays; perform light to moderate physical tasks including lifting merchandise.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Prior retail sales experience; experience in fashion or lifestyle brands preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize duties and collaborate effectively within a store team.
  • Comfort with POS systems and basic retail operations (stockroom organization, merchandising).
  • Social media awareness and willingness to adopt omni/virtual selling methods.
  • English proficiency sufficient for the market and customer interactions.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and peak periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks on the sales floor.

Compensation
