Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and build rapport; deliver personalised styling consultations that align product recommendations with the customer’s lifestyle and aesthetic.
  • Create complete looks by suggesting complementary items and demonstrating multiple ways to wear and mix products to increase basket depth.
  • Guide customers through the sales process and ensure a seamless POS checkout experience while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Maintain operational standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including inventory organisation, merchandising, and accurate transaction handling.
  • Adopt omnichannel selling techniques — including virtual selling and social media engagement — to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with peers to continuously improve customer experience and store performance.
  • Perform physical tasks required for retail operations, including lifting merchandise (regularly up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs) and maintaining a safe sales environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment with demonstrated customer service success.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and thrive in a team-based retail setting.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, peak seasonal periods and public holidays.
  • Comfort with physical demands of the role (lifting, bending, climbing, stockroom manoeuvres).

Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or certification in fashion, retail or merchandising is an advantage.
