Kate Spade New York in North Charleston, SC is hiring a Temporary Sales Associate (part-time) at Tanger Outlets Charleston.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage customers with warmth and confidence, demonstrating thorough product knowledge across categories.
- Conduct needs-driven conversations; listen actively and ask insightful questions to define customer preferences and lifestyle requirements.
- Provide personalised styling advice and create complete looks, recommending add-ons and cross-category pairings to elevate sales.
- Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and use products to inspire exploration of new styles and increase basket size.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure accurate, efficient point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including merchandising, inventory replenishment and stock organisation.
- Support omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives and participate in social-media-driven client outreach when required.
- Handle physical tasks required by the role, including regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing sales environment.
- Demonstrable ability to multitask, prioritise workload and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Comfort with social media concepts and a willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail or customer-facing sales experience is required; demonstrated track record of meeting sales or service targets is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
