Kate Spade New York (Rockefeller Center, New York, NY) is hiring a Temporary Sales Associate (part-time retail stylist).
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers warmly; demonstrate deep product knowledge and brand storytelling to build rapport.
- Listen actively to customer needs, ask insightful questions, and provide personalised styling advice to create complete looks.
- Recommend complementary items and upsell through styling-led suggestions to drive sales and basket value.
- Deliver seamless transactions using the point-of-sale system and ensure accuracy at checkout.
- Maintain visual standards on the sales floor and ensure stockroom organisation and inventory replenishment.
- Support omnichannel selling and virtual styling initiatives; adopt social and digital selling techniques as required.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback; collaborate with the team to meet store performance goals.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays; perform occasional physical tasks including lifting and stockroom manoeuvres.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment is required.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Awareness of social media and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling methods.
- English proficiency (or proficiency in the local market language).
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to bend, climb and manoeuvre in a sales-floor and stockroom environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience working in a retail environment, preferably in fashion or lifestyle retail, with demonstrated customer-facing selling performance.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
