Kate Spade seeks a Temporary Retail Associate to advise customers on products and styling, build complete looks, and support sales through customer connections and storytelling. The role also maintains stockroom organization and POS operations; schedule flexibility is required, including nights, weekends, busy seasons, high-traffic days, and public holidays.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers confidently and warmly, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask thoughtful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Offer styling advice, recommend add-on products, and create complete looks.
- Show customers creative ways to wear products and encourage them to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and provide a seamless checkout experience.
- Affirm customers’ choices and encourage them to return.
- Drive results through strong customer relationships and storytelling.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Kate Spade and product attributes across all categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate within a team.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or proficiency in the local language for the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy seasons, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
