Kate Spade (Tanger Outlets Ottawa) seeks a Temporary Associate (part-time) in Ottawa—customer-focused stylist driving sales, styling, and operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, build rapport and listen actively to understand customer needs and preferences.
- Provide personalised styling advice, create complete looks and suggest add-ons to drive attachment and basket size.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge across categories and communicate brand story through storytelling.
- Execute sales transactions accurately using POS and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Support omnichannel and virtual selling initiatives, including social media engagement and remote clienteling.
- Maintain operational standards: stockroom organization, merchandising, inventory replenishment and loss prevention.
- Lift and move merchandise regularly (25 lbs) and occasionally up to 50 lbs; manoeuvre around sales floor and stockroom.
- Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public holidays and peak retail periods.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment with demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- Availability for a flexible schedule to meet business needs and physical ability to handle merchandise lifting requirements.

Prior retail experience in a customer-facing role is required; demonstrated ability to drive sales through styling, storytelling and strong customer relationships.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
