Kate Spade in Gilroy, CA is hiring a Temporary Retail Associate (part-time) to deliver styling and sales at Gilroy Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and build rapport using expert product knowledge and active listening.
- Provide personalised styling advice and assemble complete looks that integrate Kate Spade product categories.
- Drive sales through storytelling, suggestive selling and appropriate add-on recommendations.
- Execute omni-channel selling activities, support virtual selling and maintain social media awareness.
- Operate POS and ensure a seamless checkout experience while maintaining operational excellence.
- Maintain salesfloor standards and stockroom organization, assist with inventory handling and visual presentation.
- Give and receive constructive feedback and collaborate with the store team to meet daily targets.
- Perform physical tasks as needed, including regular lifting (up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs) and merchandise movement.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Capacity to multitask, prioritise and work collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule — nights, weekends, peak periods and holidays.
- English proficiency (or local language proficiency where applicable).
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including lifting and stockroom duties.

Experience
Prior experience working in retail sales or a customer-facing role, with demonstrated ability to meet sales goals and provide personalised styling or product advice.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
