Kate Spade New York in Ottawa, Ontario is hiring a Temporary Associate (part-time) to provide styling, sales and retail support at Tanger Outlets Ottawa.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, build rapport and demonstrate deep product knowledge to guide purchases and create complete looks.
- Provide personalised styling advice, suggest complementary items, and illustrate multiple ways to wear product.
- Drive sales through storytelling, active listening and relationship-building to exceed individual and store targets.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure seamless checkout transactions.
- Maintain operational excellence: stockroom organization, merchandise replenishment and visual presentation.
- Participate in omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including social media awareness and remote clienteling.
- Deliver and receive constructive feedback; contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak shopping periods and public holidays; perform regular physical tasks (lifting up to 25–50 lbs, climbing, bending, kneeling).
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Previous experience in a retail environment; experience in fashion or lifestyle retail is an asset.
- Comfortable with omni-channel selling and social media engagement; willingness to learn virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and high-traffic retail days.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to perform physical retail duties.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail sales experience required; experience within fashion/apparel or lifestyle brands preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in fashion, merchandising or retail management is an asset.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.60 to CAD 22 per hour.
