Role & Responsibilities
- Drive personal sales performance whilst leading the team to achieve sales and KPI targets; analyze metrics and implement best practices to improve results and efficiency
- Build and maintain client relationships through proactive outreach and adherence to Kate Spade service standards; ensure exceptional in-store and after-sales experiences
- Lead proactive outreach initiatives to drive repeat business and VIP client retention
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors—specifically the 'host of the party' philosophy—by meeting, greeting, and initiating conversations to establish strong relationships and conduct needs discovery
- Coach team members on goal achievement and performance; provide constructive feedback and act as an advocate for the team
- Support recruitment, onboarding, role modeling, and ongoing training of sales associates
- Provide feedback to store leadership on individual performance and development needs
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that empowers teams to thrive authentically
- Perform and supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and facility security (key-holding responsibilities)
- Accurately process POS transactions and manage inventory functions (transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs, damages) to maintain inventory integrity
- Maintain an organized stockroom and direct timely replenishment to ensure adequate availability on the sales floor
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including live-stream shopping
- Promote brand-safe social media engagement and awareness of emerging trends
- Lead customer data capture efforts to grow loyalty programs and repeat purchases
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role (luxury/premium or comparable retail preferred)
- A combination of relevant education and professional experience will be considered
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and staff and confidently navigate the sales floor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Social media literacy and understanding of platform trends
- Comfort with omni-channel, virtual selling tools, and clienteling systems
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally)
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days (including public holidays)
Skills
Experience
2+ years of experience in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role, preferably within the luxury or premium retail sector. Experience in store operations, team supervision, POS systems, inventory management, and omni-channel retail environments is valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail management training or certification is advantageous.
Workplace
This position is based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, within easy reach of Montreal.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 21 to CAD 23 per hour.
