Kate Spade is hiring a part‑time Stylist (Temporary Associate) in Smithfield, North Carolina — retail styling, customer engagement, $15.00–$19.25/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and build immediate rapport, using expert product knowledge to guide selections.
- Provide personalised styling advice and create complete looks that incorporate Kate Spade product across categories.
- Drive sales through storytelling, suggest add‑ons to increase basket size and close transactions efficiently at POS.
- Support omnichannel engagement by learning and executing virtual selling techniques and social media outreach.
- Maintain operational excellence: organise the sales floor and stockroom, receive and process inventory, and assist with visual standards.
- Deliver exemplary post‑purchase service to encourage repeat visits and deepen client relationships.
- Perform physical tasks required for retail operations, including lifting stock and managing fixtures during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior retail experience; experience with fashion, lifestyle or luxury brands preferred.
- Comfortable multitasking and collaborating in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Social media awareness and a willingness to engage in omni/virtual selling.
- Availability for a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, busy seasons and holidays.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform retail physical duties.

Experience
Previous retail sales experience is required; background with lifestyle or fashion brands and experience in styling or personal shopping is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or training in fashion, merchandising, or styling is a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.25 per hour.
