Kate Spade New York hiring Stylist in San Diego, California. Part-time retail role offering styling expertise and customer advisory services at Fashion Valley location.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge across all Kate Spade New York categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand individual customer needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice and create complete looks that incorporate Kate Spade products into customers' existing wardrobes
- Suggest complementary add-ons and encourage customers to explore new styles through creative product presentation
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, inviting them to return and build long-term relationships
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections, storytelling, and deep brand knowledge
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate POS transactions
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive manner to continuously improve performance
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail environment
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom
- Proficiency in English (or local language proficiency per market)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
Skills
Experience
Prior experience working in a retail environment with demonstrated success in customer-facing roles. Experience with omni-channel or virtual selling techniques is preferred but not required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
