Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Stylist in Ottawa, Ontario. Hourly role offering personal styling and customer engagement in a luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand aesthetic preferences and lifestyle requirements
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple styling options and encourage customers to explore new styles through creative presentation
- Guide customers through the purchase decision process and ensure a seamless checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, encouraging repeat visits and building brand loyalty
- Drive sales results through authentic customer connections and compelling brand storytelling
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate POS transactions
- Provide and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner to support continuous improvement
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate nights, weekends, high-traffic retail days, and seasonal peaks including public holidays
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively within a team
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Proficiency in English (or local language proficiency as required by market)
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas
