Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Stylist in Ontario, California to deliver consultative styling advice and drive retail sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary add-ons, and create complete looks that align with customer lifestyle
- Use creativity to showcase multiple ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, inviting them to return
- Drive results through strong customer connections, storytelling, and deep brand knowledge
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization, POS transactions, and merchandise presentation
- Demonstrate social media awareness and learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a team setting
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior experience in a retail environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- English proficiency
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required. Experience in luxury or lifestyle retail, consultative selling, and customer advisory services is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The role is situated in Ontario, California, USA — conveniently close to Los Angeles.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
