Kate Spade New York seeks a Stylist to serve as a trusted advisor in the retail environment, assisting customers in selecting handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and home décor that align with their personal aesthetic and lifestyle. The Stylist will demonstrate strong product knowledge, provide personalized styling advice, and create compelling complete looks while maintaining operational excellence and driving sales through authentic customer engagement.

Role & Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade New York categories
• Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand preferences and lifestyle
• Provide styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete looks that encourage add-on sales
• Use creativity to showcase multiple styling options and encourage customers to explore new products
• Guide customers through the purchase decision process and ensure a seamless checkout experience
• Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and accurate POS transactions
• Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, building brand loyalty and encouraging repeat visits
• Demonstrate social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques

Qualifications

• Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
• Prior experience in a retail sales environment
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
• Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and high-traffic retail periods including seasonal peaks

Skills

Experience

Prior experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in fashion, accessories, or luxury lifestyle retail.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; further retail or fashion training is a plus.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
