The Stylist at Kate Spade New York advises customers on product selection and personal styling, builds complete looks, supports sales and maintains store operations. This is a part-time role requiring a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy seasons and public holidays; base pay is $15.00–$19.50 per hour, with medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid parental leave, commuter benefits, disability insurance and tuition assistance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
  • Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
  • Provide styling advice, suggest add-on products, and create complete looks.
  • Use creativity to demonstrate different ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles.
  • Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
  • Reinforce and celebrate customers’ choices and invite them to return.
  • Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brand and product attributes across all categories.
  • Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy seasons, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
  • Regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills, with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a team setting.
  • Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques.
  • English proficiency or proficiency in the local market language.
