The Stylist advises customers on selecting products that suit their aesthetic and lifestyle, helping them develop personal style and incorporate Kate Spade products into their wardrobes. The role combines customer engagement, styling, sales, storytelling, and store operations, including stockroom organization and POS transactions; it is temporary and part-time.
Role & Responsibilities
- Warmly and confidently greet guests, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, suggest add-ons, and create complete looks.
- Use creativity to show customers multiple ways to wear products and encourage them to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, encouraging them to return.
- Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Kate Spade and product attributes across all categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills, with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or proficiency in the local language, depending on the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
