Kate Spade New York seeks a Stylist to serve as a trusted advisor assisting customers in discovering and expressing their personal style through the brand's distinctive handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and home décor collections. This temporary part-time position involves warm customer engagement, active styling consultation, product knowledge demonstration, and seamless transaction management in a retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating strong product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer aesthetic and lifestyle needs
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete looks that inspire customers
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and POS transactions
- Demonstrate the Kate Spade brand story and reinforce customer choices to encourage repeat visits
- Multitask effectively, prioritize customer service, and collaborate within the store team
- Remain aware of social media trends and be willing to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Lift and maneuver products and materials (up to 50 lbs occasionally) to support sales floor and stockroom operations
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior experience working in a retail environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and high-traffic retail days
- English language proficiency
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, with capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver the sales floor
