Temporary Stylist role at Kate Spade New York in Costa Mesa, California; $15.00–$24.25/hr with retail sales, styling, and customer advisory responsibilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to and assess customer needs through insightful questioning to understand aesthetic preferences and lifestyle requirements
- Provide expert styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple styling applications and encourage customers to explore new product offerings
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless point-of-sale transactions
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and sales floor presentation
- Reinforce customer satisfaction and cultivate repeat business through authentic engagement and follow-up
- Give and receive constructive feedback in a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales or customer service experience
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced retail environment
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team structure
- Ability to work flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods
- Capacity to lift 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment with demonstrated professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal abilities. Experience with omnichannel or social media selling is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal education requirement specified.
