Kate Spade New York seeks a Stylist to serve as a trusted advisor assisting customers in selecting products that suit their aesthetic and lifestyle. The role involves engaging guests with strong product knowledge, providing styling advice, suggesting complementary items, and creating complete looks while maintaining operational excellence. This seasonal position requires flexible availability including nights, weekends, and high-traffic retail periods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand preferences and lifestyle requirements
- Provide expert styling advice, suggest add-on products, and curate complete looks tailored to individual aesthetics
- Use creativity to showcase multiple ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless checkout experiences
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices while inviting them to return
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections and compelling brand storytelling
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and POS transactions
- Demonstrate willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Give and receive feedback in an honest, constructive manner
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior retail environment experience
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- English language proficiency
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required. Candidates should demonstrate professional selling skills and a proven ability to build effective customer relationships.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
