Kate Spade hiring Seasonal Stylist (part-time) in Arvin, California — join the Outlets at Tejon store as a customer-focused retail stylist.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and act as a trusted advisor, diagnosing style needs and proposing complete looks that integrate Kate Spade product across categories.
- Provide personalised styling guidance, demonstrate multiple ways to wear merchandise, and suggest complementary add-ons to increase basket depth.
- Drive sales through storytelling, strong customer relationships and proactive conversion; guide customers through a seamless checkout experience.
- Maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including inventory replenishment, organization and accurate POS transactions.
- Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques, assist with social media-led customer engagement when required.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays; perform regular merchandising and store upkeep tasks.
- Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), bending, climbing and stockroom manoeuvres.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience demonstrated through customer-facing sales or styling roles.
- Comfortable with omni-channel selling and social media–driven customer engagement; willingness to learn virtual selling tools and techniques.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, evenings, holidays and peak seasonal periods.
- Ability to perform physical duties required by the role (lifting, bending, climbing).
- English proficiency (or local language proficiency per market).

Prior experience in a retail environment is required, with demonstrated professional selling skills and a track record of customer engagement and styling.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary study in fashion, merchandising or a related discipline preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
