The Stylist advises customers on products that suit their aesthetic and lifestyle, helping them express their personal style and incorporate Kate Spade products into their wardrobes. The role combines customer engagement and styling with sales, storytelling, product knowledge and store operations; it is temporary and part-time. Base pay range: $15.00–$24.25.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, suggest add-ons, and create complete looks.
- Show customers multiple ways to wear products and encourage them to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, encouraging them to return.
- Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Kate Spade and product attributes across all categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or proficiency in the local language, depending on the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, and high-traffic retail days, including public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver through the sales floor and stockroom.
