Kate Spade New York seeks a bilingual Style Advisor in Elizabeth, NJ. Part-time retail position with competitive benefits and $15–$19.50/hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer lifestyle and aesthetic preferences
- Provide expert styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete looks that incorporate Kate Spade merchandise
- Showcase multiple ways to wear and style products, encouraging customers to explore new styles and build wardrobes
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience via POS systems
- Maintain inventory management and stockroom organization standards
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections, relationship-building, and effective brand storytelling
- Reinforce customer choices and celebrate purchases to encourage repeat visits and brand loyalty
- Demonstrate social media awareness and willingness to support omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Give and receive feedback constructively to support continuous personal and team improvement
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English plus one additional language (bilingual capability required)
- Prior experience in a retail sales or client-facing environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively within a team
- Physical capability to lift and carry merchandise up to 50 lbs occasionally and regularly up to 25 lbs; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver across sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work rotating schedules including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days (including public holidays)
Skills
Experience
Prior hands-on experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle categories. Experience with customer styling, consultative selling, or personal shopping is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or certifications in fashion, styling, or retail operations are preferred but not required.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA, with easy access to New York.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
