Kate Spade New York is hiring a Temporary Style Advisor in Costa Mesa, California. Part-time retail position with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary add-ons, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple ways to style and wear products, encouraging customers to explore new options
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices while inviting repeat visits
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections and brand storytelling
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, merchandise display, and POS transactions
- Demonstrate awareness of social media trends and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle retail.
Education
No specific formal education requirement; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
