Kate Spade New York seeks a temporary Style Advisor at Metropolis At Metrotown in Burnaby, BC. Engage customers, provide styling advice, and drive sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer aesthetic preferences and lifestyle needs
- Provide styling advice, suggest coordinated add-ons, and create complete looks that encourage customers to explore new styles
- Use creativity to showcase multiple ways to wear and incorporate Kate Spade products into existing wardrobes
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless, efficient checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, creating positive brand experiences that encourage repeat visits
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections and compelling brand storytelling
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate POS transactions
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner while contributing to team success
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior experience working in a retail environment
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively within a team setting
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Fluency in English or local language proficiency per market
- Physical ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays

Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories, or luxury goods.
Education
No formal education requirement specified; high school diploma or equivalent is standard for entry-level retail positions.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.25 to USD 21.50 per hour.
