Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Style Advisor in Barstow, California. Part-time retail position offering customer styling, brand expertise, and sales opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
  • Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to inform styling recommendations
  • Provide personalized styling advice and suggest coordinated looks that encourage customers to explore new styles
  • Guide customers through the purchase decision process and ensure seamless checkout transactions
  • Maintain operational excellence through stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate point-of-sale transactions
  • Drive sales results through strong customer connections, compelling brand storytelling, and effective product demonstrations
  • Reinforce customer choices and foster loyalty by inviting repeat visits and celebrating individual style preferences
  • Demonstrate awareness of social media and omnichannel selling techniques, including virtual selling capabilities
  • Perform physical duties including lifting merchandise (up to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs regularly), climbing, bending, kneeling, and maneuvering throughout the sales floor and stockroom

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in retail sales or customer-facing environments
  • Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate effectively within a team setting
  • Strong English proficiency or local language proficiency as required by market
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, seasonal peaks, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
