Kate Spade New York hiring a Store Supervisor in New York — lead the sales floor, coach teams, and uphold brand standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the sales team to achieve daily and weekly sales targets and KPIs while delivering exceptional client service and clienteling.
  • Manage day-to-day store operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, POS transactions and shift scheduling.
  • Ensure merchandising and visual presentation adhere to brand standards and seasonal directives, including window displays and floor sets.
  • Oversee inventory control: receive and process deliveries, conduct cycle counts, and support stock replenishment.
  • Implement loss-prevention procedures and ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and performance management; provide ongoing training and development to elevate product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Resolve client escalations and cultivate long-term client relationships through proactive outreach and personalised service.
  • Collaborate with the store manager and corporate teams on local store initiatives, promotions and ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or assistant manager experience; experience in luxury, premium or specialty retail strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and managing KPIs in a store environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a diverse retail team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset.
  • Flexible availability including weekends, holidays and peak retail periods.
  • Proficiency in POS operations and basic cash reconciliation; comfortable with inventory processes and loss-prevention practices.
