Kate Spade New York seeks a Store Supervisor in Novi, Michigan. Lead the sales floor at Twelve Oaks Mall and drive sales, clienteling, and operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily sales-floor activity to create a customer-first, high-energy environment and model Kate Spade service behaviors.
- Drive personal and team sales performance; analyze KPIs and implement best practices to improve results and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain client relationships through proactive outreach, loyalty data capture, and VIP retention initiatives.
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to store team members; support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development.
- Execute and supervise opening/closing procedures, cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and key-holding responsibilities.
- Manage inventory operations including POS transactions, transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs, and damages to preserve inventory integrity.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure timely replenishment to maximize sales-floor availability.
- Champion omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including live-stream shopping and clienteling activities; promote brand-safe social media engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role; luxury or premium retail experience preferred.
- Proven ability to coach and develop frontline retail teams and to provide constructive, actionable feedback.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and teammates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; comfortable using clienteling systems and omni-channel selling tools.
- Social media literacy and an understanding of platform trends to support in-store and digital selling.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays; ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
Skills
Experience
At least 2 years of frontline retail experience in a supervisory or floor leadership capacity; prior experience in luxury or premium retail environments is preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and retail leadership experience considered.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Novi, Michigan, USA, with easy access to Detroit.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 16 to USD 24.75 per hour.
