Kate Spade Store Leader in Torrance, California – Lead high-performing retail team, drive sales, and manage store operations at premium luxury brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade New York service behaviors and selling standards, coaching team members in real time to ensure a premium client experience
- Drive clienteling and omni-channel strategies by ensuring consistent CRM/client book usage, proactive outreach, thank-you follow-ups, and achievement of key performance indicators including conversion, average order value, units per transaction, virtual appointments, ship-from-store, and BOPIS
- Empower the team to resolve customer issues swiftly and leverage social selling programs, including live stream shopping where applicable
- Collect and share customer feedback and product insights with leadership to inform strategic decisions and enhance the overall customer experience
- Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a high-performing team that reflects Kate Spade New York's brand values and commitment to inclusion
- Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management through regular check-ins and annual evaluations
- Recognize strong performance and address underperformance through targeted development plans; build bench strength and foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture
- Take full ownership of store financial performance by forecasting, planning, and delivering against sales and productivity goals
- Analyze selling reports and business trends to identify opportunities and implement action plans; collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners
- Communicate Kate Spade New York's aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to both team members and clients
- Ensure visual merchandising directives are executed consistently and store maintenance standards are upheld, creating compelling brand-aligned storytelling through displays and window presentations
- Oversee all operational procedures, including opening and closing routines, cash handling, bank deposits, and facility security
- Manage scheduling and payroll within budget to maintain optimal sales floor coverage and operational efficiency
- Protect inventory integrity through accurate processing of markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety, and company policy standards; lead regular store meetings for team alignment and communication
- Utilize Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage reporting, communication, and operational tasks efficiently
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of store leadership experience in retail or service environments; luxury or premium brand experience preferred
- Proven track record in sales leadership, team coaching and development, stakeholder management, and conflict mediation
- Strong communication skills, time management capabilities, and demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM/clienteling tools
- Social media literacy and understanding of live and virtual selling trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with flexibility to accommodate nights, weekends, peak trading periods, and public holidays
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of store leadership experience in retail or service environments. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Luxury or premium brand retail experience is strongly preferred.
Education

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 38.25 to USD 51.75 per hour.
