Kate Spade New York seeks an experienced Store Leader in New Orleans for full-time retail management role focusing on team leadership, omni-channel sales, and operational excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade New York service behaviors and selling standards, providing real-time coaching to ensure premium client experiences
- Drive clienteling and omni-channel strategies through consistent CRM usage, proactive outreach, and achievement of KPIs including conversion, average order value, units per transaction, virtual appointments, ship-from-store, and BOPIS
- Empower team members to resolve customer issues swiftly and leverage social selling programs, including live stream shopping where applicable
- Collect and share customer feedback and product insights with leadership to inform strategic decisions and enhance overall experience
- Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a high-performing team that reflects Kate Spade New York brand values and demonstrates authentic engagement
- Set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching and performance management through regular check-ins and annual evaluations
- Recognize and reward strong performance while addressing underperformance through targeted development plans
- Build bench strength and foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that supports growth and authenticity
- Take full ownership of store financial performance through forecasting, planning, and delivery against sales and productivity goals
- Analyze selling reports and business trends to identify opportunities and implement action plans
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional partners in visual merchandising, operations, human resources, merchandising, and marketing to execute revenue-driving strategies
- Communicate Kate Spade New York's aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to both team members and clients
- Ensure visual directives are executed consistently and store maintenance standards are upheld, creating compelling brand-aligned storytelling through displays and window presentations
- Oversee all operational procedures including opening and closing routines, cash handling, bank deposits, and facility security
- Manage scheduling and payroll within budget to maintain optimal sales floor coverage
- Protect inventory integrity through accurate processing of markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety, and company policy standards; lead regular store meetings for alignment and communication
- Utilize Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage reporting, communication, and operational tasks efficiently
Qualifications
- 3+ years of store leadership experience in retail or service environments; luxury or premium retail experience preferred
- Proven sales leadership capability, team coaching and development skills, stakeholder management expertise, and strong communication abilities
- Demonstrated proficiency in conflict mediation, time management, and data-driven decision-making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with CRM and clienteling tools; social media literacy and understanding of live and virtual selling trends
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally; capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, peak busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
Skills
Experience
3+ years of store leadership in retail or service environments; luxury or premium retail experience is preferred. The role requires demonstrated expertise in sales leadership, team development, financial management, and operational oversight within a customer-facing environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of additional education and relevant retail or service leadership experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
