Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade New York service behaviors and selling standards, providing real-time coaching to ensure premium client experiences
  • Drive clienteling and omni-channel sales strategies through consistent CRM/client book usage, proactive customer outreach, and achievement of KPIs including conversion, AOV, UPT, virtual appointments, ship-from-store, and BOPIS
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a high-performing team reflective of brand values, with ongoing coaching and performance management
  • Take full ownership of store financial performance through forecasting, planning, and delivery against sales and productivity goals
  • Analyze selling reports and business trends to identify opportunities and implement action plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in visual merchandising, operations, HR, merchandising, and marketing to execute integrated strategies
  • Communicate Kate Spade New York's aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to team members and clients whilst ensuring consistent visual directive execution
  • Oversee all operational procedures including opening/closing routines, cash handling, bank deposits, facility security, and payroll management within budget parameters
  • Protect inventory integrity through accurate processing of markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety, and policy standards; lead regular store meetings for alignment and communication
  • Build bench strength and foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that supports growth and authenticity

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of store leadership experience in retail or service environments; luxury or premium experience preferred
  • Proven sales leadership and coaching abilities with demonstrated success in talent development and stakeholder management
  • Strong communication, conflict mediation, and time management skills
  • Data-driven decision-making capability with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with CRM and clienteling tools; social media literacy and understanding of live and virtual selling trends
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced retail environment, including nights, weekends, and peak seasonal periods
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
  • Strong English language proficiency

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 30 to USD 44.75 per hour.
