Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade New York service behaviors and selling standards through real-time coaching to ensure premium client experiences
- Drive clienteling and omni-channel strategies by ensuring consistent CRM/client book usage, proactive outreach, thank-you follow-ups, and achievement of KPIs including conversion, average order value, units per transaction, virtual appointments, ship-from-store, and BOPIS
- Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate a high-performing team that reflects the brand's values while fostering an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture
- Set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching, performance management, regular check-ins, and annual evaluations; recognize strong performance and address underperformance through targeted development plans
- Take full ownership of store financial performance by forecasting, planning, and delivering against sales and productivity goals; analyze selling reports and business trends to identify opportunities and implement action plans
- Oversee all operational procedures including opening/closing routines, cash handling, bank deposits, facility security, scheduling, payroll management, and inventory integrity
- Ensure visual directives are executed consistently and store maintenance standards are upheld, creating compelling brand-right storytelling through displays and windows
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety, and policy standards; lead regular store meetings for alignment and communication
- Collect and share customer feedback and product insights with leadership to inform decisions and enhance the overall experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in visual merchandising, operations, HR, merchandising, and marketing to execute strategies that drive results
Qualifications
- 3+ years of store leadership in retail or service environments; luxury or premium experience preferred
- Proven sales leadership, coaching and development, stakeholder management, strong communication, conflict mediation, time management, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM/clienteling tools
- Social media literacy and understanding of live/virtual selling trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain flexibility to meet business needs including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and high-traffic retail days
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom through climbing, bending, and kneeling
Skills
Experience
3+ years of store leadership in retail or service environments, with luxury or premium retail experience preferred. Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing retail teams, driving sales results, and managing store operations.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and retail management or leadership experience will be considered.
