Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee development of clientele by building and maintaining client relationships, generating proactive outreach, and driving personal business growth
- Lead team members to actively utilize client books and generate increased sales through monthly reviews and outreach evaluation
- Ensure all associates comply with clientele standards, thank you note policies, and complete sales training programs
- Model consistent selling environment, provide coaching on sales training processes, and maintain highest level of customer service
- Hire, train, and motivate a qualified sales team that effectively represents the Kate Spade New York brand
- Provide specific development for assistant managers and supervisors through assigned accountabilities, training, and regular feedback
- Perform annual performance evaluations with quarterly review of employee goals
- Attend approximately two annual company management meetings
- Understand and communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to sales team and customers
- Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain visual standards at all times
- Analyze business trends regarding assortment, communicate sell-through and stock levels, and identify sales opportunities
- Communicate customer feedback and quality issues to District Leader for service and sales improvement
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures including register management and facility security
- Conduct regular store meetings to ensure accurate and consistent employee communication
- Maintain payroll budget and weekly hours to ensure appropriate sales floor coverage
- Supervise operational responsibilities for markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving to maintain inventory integrity
- Oversee loss prevention policies and procedures for 100% compliance
- Network and create positive community relationships that generate business awareness and build candidate pipeline
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in luxury goods or comparable retail environment
- College degree preferred
- Prior luxury goods experience preferred
- Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels and client base
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends, and react quickly to business needs
- Comfortable making decisions and mediating conflict within a team environment
- Proficiency in Windows-based software including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experience
Minimum 3 years of management experience in luxury goods or a comparable retail environment required. Prior luxury goods experience is strongly preferred.
Education
College degree preferred.
