Kate Spade seasonal Stylist in Kansas City, Kansas — part-time retail role advising customers, styling looks and supporting sales (USD $15.00–$19.50/hr).
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage customers with warmth and professional product knowledge to build rapport and trust.
- Conduct consultative styling interactions: assess customer needs, propose complete looks, and suggest complementary items to increase basket value.
- Demonstrate multiple ways to wear product and educate customers on brand and category attributes across handbags, apparel and accessories.
- Execute point-of-sale transactions and ensure a smooth checkout experience.
- Maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including inventory handling and organisation.
- Support omnichannel initiatives by adopting virtual-selling techniques and leveraging social media where appropriate.
- Provide and receive candid, constructive feedback to sustain team performance and service standards.
- Safely handle merchandise and store equipment; lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Proven selling skills with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably within fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Comfort with social media and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in English (or local language as required by market) and flexibility to work nights, weekends, high-traffic retail days and public holidays.

Previous retail experience required; demonstrated track record of consultative selling and achieving sales targets within a customer-facing environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or post-secondary coursework in retail, fashion or visual merchandising is advantageous.
