Kate Spade hiring a Seasonal Stylist (part-time) in Elizabeth, NJ — customer-facing styling and sales role at Mills at Jersey Gardens.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage guests with warmth and confidence, demonstrating deep product knowledge across Kate Spade categories.
  • Listen attentively and ask targeted questions to uncover customer needs and deliver personalised styling advice.
  • Create complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket size and inspire repeat visits.
  • Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and integrate products into customers’ wardrobes through creative styling.
  • Drive sales through storytelling, clienteling and relationship-building; guide customers through seamless checkout.
  • Maintain operational excellence including POS transactions, stockroom organization and merchandise replenishment.
  • Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques and support social media-driven customer engagement.
  • Work a flexible schedule to meet store needs, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods.
  • Perform light physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and maneuvering the sales floor and stockroom.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Prior retail experience required; luxury or fashion retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
  • English proficiency (or local language proficiency per market) and strong customer focus.
  • Ability to meet the role’s physical requirements (lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling).

Experience

Previous retail sales experience is required; experience in fashion or premium/luxury retail and clienteling is preferred. Demonstrated track record of meeting sales targets and delivering high-quality customer service is advantageous.
