Kate Spade New York seeks a Retail Stylist in Hagerstown, MD (Hagerstown Premium Outlets). Part-time role focused on styling, sales and customer engagement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests warmly; establish rapport through attentive listening and insightful questioning to understand customer needs.
- Provide personalized styling advice and create complete looks, suggesting complementary items and demonstrating multiple ways to wear products.
- Drive sales through storytelling and strong customer connections, converting engagements into purchases and encouraging repeat visits.
- Execute omnichannel selling and virtual engagement as required, supporting social media-driven and remote client interactions.
- Maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including accurate POS transactions, inventory handling and visual presentation.
- Exercise safe manual handling practices: regularly lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing and kneeling.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing role; styling or fashion-focused sales experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and collaborate effectively within a team-oriented retail environment.
- Social media awareness and a willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required; demonstrable customer-facing sales experience and familiarity with styling or fashion advising is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework in fashion, merchandising or a related discipline is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
